Start of Summer

This Summer will be all about bright colors, floral patterns, tan lines and fresh fruit from the farmers market. Shiloh will be sure to experience a lot of pool time this summer. It's going to be a hot one! I love my new heeled dessert boots. I can wear these clear into the winter months. I'm rocking mine with a pair of bright coral shorts and a lace vest. Bows & Florals

This outfit is all about bows and floral print. I have on a self-tie bow chiffon blouse for $10.00 at Forever 21 on a yellow tag special, black shorts with a bow tie belt from H&M, floral print blazer from Goodwill for only $2.50 and gold Steve Madden oxfords from Goodwill for $5.00, business satchel on clearance from modcloth.com. The key to thrifting for me is knowing exactly what sort of item I am looking for and then scan as much merchandise as possible. My favorite sections are the collared blouses, shorts and skirts, blazers, shoes, jewelry and bags. Sometimes I go just looking for something special to catch my eye, but most of the time I have an agenda. The braided chain bracelet can be purchased here in my very own Etsy shop. I attempted to have Shiloh's adorable outfit post with mine today, but of course he wouldn't stay still for even a blink of an eye. I will be plotting photography techniques for toddlers and when I succeed, you all will be the first to know. Good night everyone!

The Beginning

Hello blogging community! This is my very first post and I apologize for only sharing my Instagram shots. You see, if it were not for my lovely blogging friends on IG, I would not be typing this at all. I have been inspired, and continue to find inspiration everyday & it is all thanks to you. I will be posting my fashion tips, outfits, diy projects, toddler activities, recipes and more. Being a mom sometimes means you are confined to a tight budget, but that doesn't mean you can't look stylish for an affordable price. That is... when you aren't in pajamas and a top knot picking up food off the floor and retrieving toys out of the toilet. Don't get me wrong, I would not trade that for the world. There is so much beauty in this life of mine, flaws and all. I cannot wait to share it with you.
